Pirna and Diesbar-Seußlitz mark the beginning and the end of the Saxon Wine Route, which has a total length of 55 kilometres. It is situated amidst one of Germany’s smallest wine-growing areas, which is also the farthest north-easterly wine-growing region of Europe.

Weinböhla is situated at a minor route of the Saxon Wine Route, which extends itself from Coswig to Weinböhla and Gröbern, to finally join the main route again near the city of Meißen.

Thereby the minor wine route leads through the vineyard Weinböhlaer Gellertberg. On your expedition along the wine route to Weinböhla, you will discover proofs of the tradition of wine-growing, such as the Museum of Local History situated in Weinböhla’s historical wine-growing estate, or the restaurant Zentralgasthof, which received the rating Particularly Recommended Restaurant at the Saxon Wine Route in 2007.

If you wish to go on your expedition on foot, the fourth stage of the trail Sächsischer Weinwanderweg leads you to Weinböhla’s vineyards and towers.
